Marshal Auguste Marmont's reinforced VI Corps is ordered to hold off Field Marshal Prince Blucher's Russo-Prussians in the North while Napoleon, with the bulk of the Army engages the Army of Bohemia in the South. Event #16: Kampfgruppe Peiper - Assault on Stoumont
On 17th December 1944, Kampfgruppe Peiper has finally penetrated the American front lines in the Ardennes. Peiper's spearhead is days behind schedule and dangerously low on fuel. Intelligence reports tell Peiper that the fuel he desperately needs can be found just north of the small Belgian town of Stoumont. The Allied response to the massive German offensive has been piecemeal up to now. However, major Allied units are beginning to converge on the area. The 119th Regiment of the 30th Infantry Division has been pushed forward to blocking positions. Can the German forces push forward to locate the much needed fuel supplies? Worst yet you are ankle deep in sea water aboard what seems to be a sinking prison ship. Even the bilge rats are doing better than you as they slip between the bars scurrying toward freedom. On the bright side, you are not alone in your misery, the prison cells are full with Pirates, Captains and crewman all having an equally bad start to this fun filled day. Event #22: Black Hawk's Raid at Apple River Fort
Black Hawk, a Sauk leader and veteran of the War of 1812 decided he could no longer stay away from their ancestral lands in Illinois and decided to take 1,000 followers back across the Mississippi River. On June 24, 1832, Black Hawk and 200 of his followers attacked a small village near the Apple River outside of Gelenna. They were looking for supplies, what they found was a local defense force behind a small fort. Can the settlers hold out until help arrives? Hosted by Michael Mays. 1830s Skirmish. 28mm.
